Punk Rock Stories - Update - From Basildon To Hollywood

I`m now updating my 2016 autobiography Punk Rock Stories And Tabloid Tales as a lot has happened.

Since  publication in January 2016 I have published a novel and joined forces with a film  producer.

Serial Killer my debut novel is about to become a Hollywood movie.

This got me thinking and reminiscing about my previous involvement with the world of movies.

It`s Hollywood now but back in the 90`s it was Basildon.

Today I`m writing the screen dialogue for Harry Harris and Taylor Shelley a fictional East End gangster and female serial killer.

Whereas between 1992 and 2004 I was writing dialogue for Julie Johnson , a real-life porn star.

I also filmed and directed her in many movies with titles like Saturday Night Specials, Basildon Babe, Essex Escort, Naked House Tour and Dirty Dancer.

Little did I know as I sat in the lounge of 64 Chestnut Road writing dialogue for a real-life sexy blonde that years later I`d be writing lines for a Hollywood serial killer.

Hollywood has always been a dream.

It`s no secret as all my life I`ve been addicted to the world of showbiz.

Real-life could be boring and mundane. Like Oliver Twist I always wanted more.

I never wanted a 9 to 5 lifestyle and always wanted to be someone else.

George Best, Johnny Rotten, David Bowie.

I loved `fast drugs` because I get bored very easily.

My character dictates that I crave excitement.

The truth is making porn films saved my marriage.

It ensured I never strayed, not once in 15 years, as during the week I made love to my beautiful wife and at weekends had sex with a porn star.

I`m now using some of those plots in a Hollywood movie.

Serial Killer is based on true stories and factual characters.

East End gangster Harry Harris is based on real-life villains I`ve known and politician Paul Greening on the MPs I`ve met.

( though in the movie he`ll be called Newton Brown - this is so my song of the same name can be used in the soundtrack )
