Because of the after effects of being in a coma , `dying twice` and spending 29 days on a life support machine I am suffering more frequent `blackouts` and loss of memory.
Some days I `lose` 10 minutes other times it is more than a hour.
I can remember most things from 25 years ago but often have difficulty with the previous 24 hours.
It got so bad I even forgot the lyrics of ZIGGY STARDUST. The medical experts said:
"We`ve got you walking again, but to fix your brain/memory start writing"
I started with Shopping Lists, a daily diary then short stories and one of them became SERIAL KILLER which is being made into a movie.
I then wrote my latest novel DAVID BOWIE SINGS AGAIN.
This is why I store the synopsis of Part 2 on this blog as it will help when I write the kosher version.
Pictures of my kids and songs from my past help to exercise my memory.
As does searching through hundreds and hundreds of documents.
Another reason is in case I`m not around to finish my autobiography then another author could use my `notes` to finish the story.
A dead man cant talk, but he can leave a legacy and a `paper trail` of information.
It is important that I tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth as the reputation of a dead man is more precious than that of a living one.
A dead man can`t defend his reputation whereas as an official autobiography full of quotes and facts from official Legal and Medical Documents can.
